The Tierra Alta Vineyard, like its name describes, is on top of Ballard Canyon and produces heat tempered by strong breezes that cool the grapes in the afternoon. The sloping hills and closely packed vines are perfect for Tempranillo. This wine is a blend of Clone 3 and 770. Rustic nose with notes of blueberry, followed by the flavors of blueberry and a hint of cherry, with spice from the American oak. Aged in American Oak from the Hoffmeister Cooperage in Missouri.
